AS400 Application Support Engineer N2 / N3 M/F | Casablanca (Morocco)

As part of strengthening our IT teams, we are looking for an AS400 Application Support Engineer – N2 / N3 to ensure the support, maintenance, and evolution of critical applications based on the IBM i (AS400) environment.

You will handle complex incidents, participate in the continuous improvement of applications, and collaborate closely with business and technical teams to guarantee the availability, performance, and reliability of the systems.

Functions and responsibilities

• Provide level 2 and 3 application support on AS400 / IBM i environments
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex incidents and recurring problems
• Manage batch processing, data flows, backups, and recovery in case of incidents
• Participate in evolutionary and corrective maintenance of applications
• Contribute to production deployments and post-deployment monitoring
• Write and maintain technical and functional documentation
• Collaborate with development teams, infrastructure teams, and business users
• Propose optimization and continuous improvement actions
• Participate in on-call rotations according to the established organization (if applicable)
  

• Solid experience with the AS400 / IBM i environment
• Good command of RPG (RPG III / RPG IV / Free), CL, SQL/DB2
• Confirmed experience in N2 / N3 application support
• Ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex problems
• Autonomy, rigor, and sense of responsibility
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
• Service-oriented and customer-focused
• Ability to manage priorities in a critical environment
• Knowledge of scheduling and monitoring tools is a plus
