Head of Compliance

Location: Malta

Basis: Full time

Remuneration: Salary + Benefits

Main duties:

• Maintain and update compliance manuals and checklists per regulatory and Group requirements
• Ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of compliance diaries
• Execute tasks arising from multiple compliance monitoring programmes
• Support employees with regulatory, compliance, and AML/CFT queries
• Prepare compliance reports for Boards and Compliance Committees
• Address regulatory issues and interpret applicable legislation and regulations
• Assist the MLRO with AML/CFT matters and ad hoc requirements
• Help the MLRO complete the Annual Compliance Report for the FIAU
• Support employees on Data Protection and GDPR requirements
• Monitor and ensure ongoing compliance with GDPR obligations
• Promote a strong organizational compliance culture aligned with regulations
• Support management with external compliance services provided to clients

What skills do you need?

• Degree in Law or a related discipline
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a similar compliance role within financial services
• Ideally holds a professional qualification in compliance, finance, or a related field
• Strong working knowledge of applicable legislation and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Proactive and flexible approach, with a strong can-do attitude
• Strong team player, self-motivated, and adaptable
