الوصف الوظيفي

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and results-driven Accountant who brings hands-on experience in the fashion and retail sectors. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Your industry-specific knowledge will help streamline inventory cost accounting, seasonal budgetingprofit and loss management, retail margins, and vendor payment cycles.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and analyze Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and other financial statements in compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts payable, and receivable specific to retail operations.
  • Collaborate with the buying, merchandising, and supply chain teams to account for inventory cost, stock movement, and markdowns.
  • Manage POS sales data integration and ensure accurate recording across retail locations and e-commerce platforms.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and merchant accounts regularly.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, seasonal forecasts, and financial projections, ensuring alignment with the retail calendar and collection launches.
  • Track seasonal budget performance and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT/GST, sales tax, and payroll tax.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Continuously improve accounting processes to meet the unique demands of the fashion industry, including rapid product turnover and cyclical sales trends.
