As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of large-scale digital transformation solutions. You will work closely with project stakeholders, business analysts, architects, and development teams to define and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies across multiple workstreams.
This role requires strong experience in enterprise-level systems, government environments, and end-to-end QA governance, ensuring that all deliverables meet defined business and technical requirements.
You Will
- Define and implement QA strategy, standards, and governance frameworks across the project lifecycle.
- Review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs to ensure testability and completeness.
- Develop and manage comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios aligned with project requirements.
- Define acceptance criteria and support Business Analysts and stakeholders during requirements validation.
- Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, including preparation, execution, and sign-off.
- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities across multiple workstreams.
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools.
- Perform performance testing using tools to ensure system scalability and reliability.
- Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and non-functional testing.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
- Ensure requirements traceability between business needs, test cases, and delivered solutions.
- Manage test environments, test data, and testing schedules.
- Monitor and report on QA metrics (defect density, test coverage, execution progress, etc.).
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and integration teams to ensure high-quality releases.
- Support security and compliance validation activities in coordination with cybersecurity teams.
- Provide guidance and support to business users during UAT and post-implementation phases.
- Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies in line with industry best practices.
RequirementsTo Be Successful in The Role You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably in large-scale or government digital transformation projects
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, standards, and best practices
- Proven experience in test strategy, planning, and QA governance
- Hands-on experience in automation testing (e.g., Selenium)
- Experience in performance testing (e.g., JMeter)
- Strong experience in functional, integration, system, regression, and non-functional testing
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)
- Solid understanding of requirements traceability and validation processes
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams in a complex environment
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
Mandatory Certification- ISTQB Certification (mandatory)
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in government or public sector projects
- Exposure to security testing and compliance standards
- Experience in enterprise integration environments (APIs, middleware)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
