Job Title: Legal Negotiator
Department: Operations
Location: Amman
Reports to: Legal Negotiation Team Lead
Job Objectives:
The Legal Negotiator is responsible for managing client settlements, coordinating with
legal teams, and ensuring compliance with legal and financial requirements. This role
involves direct communication with clients, law firms, and compliance teams to facilitate
legal settlements efficiently. The position requires strong negotiation, documentation,
and client management skills to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities and duties:
1. Case Management & Documentation
· Ensure all legal case documents are received, reviewed, and properly uploaded.
· Maintain accurate records of client interactions, settlement progress, and legal
proceedings.
· Support assigned attorneys by providing necessary case details and financial
specifics.
2. Client Communication & Support
· Reach out to clients to explain the legal process and answer any inquiries.
· Keep clients informed about the status of their legal cases and settlement
negotiations.
· Assist clients enrolled in legal assistance plans (e.g., Veritas or Fortress Family) by
managing claims and related documentation.
3. Settlement Negotiation & Legal Coordination
· Contact law firms representing creditors to initiate negotiations.
· Negotiate the most favorable settlement terms for clients, ensuring alignment with
financial and legal guidelines.
· Support attorneys in the negotiation process by providing case insights and
financial details.
4. Compliance & Financial Review
· Ensure compliance steps are completed, including client settlement authorization
and legal document verification.
· Review client financial situations to determine additional fund availability.
· Accurately notate client files and maintain compliance records.
5. Payment & CRM Management
· Set up settlement payments and fee collection schedules in the CRM.
· Ensure the accuracy of settlement payment delivery instructions.
· Forward all legal documents and completed settlements to Compliance for review and processing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
Years of Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in legal negotiations, settlements, or financial services.
Competencies / Behavioral Requirements:
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to handle sensitive client cases with professionalism and discretion.
· Proactive and results-driven mindset.
· High adaptability and resilience in managing complex legal cases.
Technical Requirements:
· Familiarity with legal case management systems and CRM tools.
· Basic understanding of settlement laws and financial regulations.
· Experience in handling compliance procedures for legal settlements.
Communication and Interaction:
· Reports to: Legal Negotiation Team Lead
· Works with: Clients, Law Firms, Compliance Teams, and Internal Legal Departments.
