hi.org HI is supporting explosive hazard mitigation operations in high-risk, conflict environments in the Middle East.
The context is characterized by: Widespread explosive ordnance contamination.
Significant infrastructure damage.
Complex humanitarian access constraints A volatile and rapidly evolving operational environment.
This role is part of a structured and coordinated mine action response, where international personnel contribute directly to field-level operations alongside multiple humanitarian actors.
This is a hands-on operational role requiring strong technical expertise, resilience, and the ability to work in demanding conditions.
YOUR MISSION: As a Land Release Technical Field Manager, you will support the safe implementation of explosive hazard mitigation activities in line with international standards.
Mission 1: Operational Implementation You will: Conduct Explosive Hazard Assessments (EHA), including survey, classification and reporting.
Plan and implement EOD operations in line with international standards.
Support humanitarian access operations, including route verification and area assessments.
Contribute to damage and debris-related safety assessments.
Participate in quality control (QC) activities.
Conduct safety checks of humanitarian premises and operational sites.
Deliver explosive hazard risk awareness briefings to humanitarian personnel.
Safely identify, mark, isolate and report explosive hazards in accordance with procedures.
Mission 2: Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement You will: Coordinate with humanitarian actors and operational stakeholders Contribute to safe access and information-sharing mechanisms Represent technical activities at field level when required At HI, the conditions offered are up to your commitment and adapted to the context of your mission.

You have a a minimum of 11 years of military/police/mine action experience and 3 years of Humanitarian Mine Action experience, including: Land Release.
Non-Technical Surveys (NTS).
Technical Survey (TS).
Battle Area Clearance (BAC).
Minimum 3 years Explosive Ordnance Disposal experience, including: EOD (single, multi, bulk).
Air-dropped munitions.
Your career path has enabled you to develop your skills in conflict or post-conflict environments, and humanitarian or stabilisation contexts.
You also have experience using information management systems (e.
g. IMSMA or equivalent).
Desirable Experience High-risk search / route clearance.
Mechanical or rubble clearance operations.
IEDD experience.
Ammunition stockpile destruction.
Familiarity with: IMAS (required baseline) IATG (asset) MOSAIC (asset)\ Certification EOD Level 3+ certification (mandatory).
(Single / Multi / Bulk / Air-dropped munitions).
Fluency in English is required for this position, while knowledge of Arabic would be considered an asset.
You are able to perform effectively under pressure, including in high-risk environments, and demonstrate a high level of resilience and adaptability.
You bring strong coordination and communication skills, along with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
You operate with a high degree of integrity and professionalism, and possess well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
