Team/Position Overview:


The Margin & Collateral Operations team plays a critical role in mitigating risk and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. We deliver best-in-class capabilities in margin and collateral management, inventory management, risk management, and collateral efficiency. This team supports global Capital Markets businesses across various products, regions, and divisions, collaborating with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. This includes core responsibilities such as processing margin calls, performing collateral optimization, resolving exceptions (fails/cash breaks/margin disputes), and ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., portfolio reconciliations, client valuations). The team also safeguards the firm's assets and reputation by designing, implementing, overseeing, and operating robust processing controls specifically tailored for our complex global margining landscape. We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic team players, with a strong work ethic, to join our Markets Operations team.


Key Responsibilities:


The Vice President, Team Manager will lead and oversee a team responsible for both margin and collateral operations processes and associated controls. This role is vital for ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant execution of critical M&C activities, fostering a strong control environment, and collaborating closely with key internal partners.


  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of operational professionals, fostering a high-performance, quality, and control-focused culture.
  • Oversee the execution of daily margin call processing, collateral management, and other core M&C operational activities.
  • Ensure the effective performance and oversight of critical collateral control processes, maintaining adherence to policy, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Drive the implementation of new, preventative control methodologies and robust exception management within both operational and control functions.
  • Partner closely with Books & Records teams, Front Office, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow, data integrity, and issue resolution.
  • Act as a key escalation point for operational and control-related issues, collaborating with global teams for timely and effective resolution.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at continuous process improvement, risk mitigation, and operational excellence within Margin & Collateral Operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:


We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic leader with deep expertise in financial operations, margin and collateral management, and operational controls, alongside a proven track record in people management.


  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Typically 7+ years of progressive experience in financial services, with significant leadership and oversight experience in margin and collateral operations, risk management, or broader operations control functions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end margin call processing, collateral management, reconciliations, and regulatory requirements impacting margin operations.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams in a complex global environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders across all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, risk-aware mindset and a strong commitment to operational excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to change, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word).
