About this role

The IT Data Analytics teamis responsible forsourcing, processing, distributingdata internally and externally. The team covers data needs across all aspects of investment analysis, portfolio management, back-officeprocessing, investor reporting, and regulatory filings. Data Analytics team members collaborate closely with SMEs across Front Office, Backoffice, Investor Relations, Tax, Legal, Management Company in delivering data reporting and analytics technology solutions.



Position Description


PFSis seeking a Vice President, IT Data Analytics to join the firm’s technology organization in Mumbai. This is anendtoendanalytics engineering role with aprimary focus on enablingAI‑drivenanalytics, combining data engineering, analytics modeling, business intelligence, and AI integration in support ofHPS’sPublic & Private Credit, CLO, and Long/Short Credit investment platforms.



The Vice President will design and deliveranalyticsreadydata pipelines, curated data models, and BI solutions, while shaping how AI capabilities are researched, evaluated, and incorporated into analytics and reporting platformsBusinessand Technology teams to identify AI opportunities and translate business needs into scalable data, analytics, andAIenabledsolutions used directly by the business.



This role is suited for ahandsonanalytics engineering leader who acts as anAI enabler, bringing research, judgment, and practical experience to embed AI intoendtoenddata and BI workflows.



Responsibilities: 



AI Enablement



  • Act as an AI enabler for the Data Analytics organization byidentifying, researching, and evaluating AI and generative AI use cases across analytics and reporting.



  • Define patterns, standards, and best practices for incorporating AI into data, analytics, and BI workflows. 



  • Partner with engineering,platform, and business teams to enable AI capabilities. 



  • Guidethe integration of AI outputs into dashboards, reports, and analytical workflows used by Portfolio Management, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Investor Relations. 



  • Ensure AI usage aligns with data quality, explainability, governance, security, and compliance expectations.



Platforms, Architecture & Integration 



  • Shape howSnowflake,and BI platforms are used to support analytics and AI enablement. 



  • Evaluate and integratethirdpartytools, platforms, and vendor solutions that support analytics and AI capabilities. 



  • Establish observability, data quality, and monitoring standards to support trust in analytics andAIenabledoutputs.



Collaboration & Team Contribution



  • Work closely with business stakeholders toidentifyanalytics and AI opportunities, define success criteria, and prioritize initiatives. 



  • Act as a bridge between business users, data engineering, BI teams, and technology leadership. 



  • Support offshore/onshore delivery models by providing direction, review, and enablement rather than owning alldevelopmentdirectly. 



  • Mentor team members on analytics engineering and AI enablement concepts.



Candidate Profile



  • 8+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, analytics engineering,dataengineeringor BI engineering




  • Experience within financial services (credit, hedge fund, asset management, or related domains) is preferred



  • Handsonexperience implementingAIenabledanalytics or generative AI use cases in production environments.



  • Strong SQL skills with experience building complex analytical transformations



  • Experience with Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or similar cloud data platforms



  • Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, SSRS, Power Apps, Sigma, or similar platforms



  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities andinter-personalskills



  • Highest degreeofbusiness ethics and professionalism.



  • Strong appreciation for architecture, analysis, problem solving, testing, and agile development



  • Ability to perform business analysis, as well as manage andmaintainvarious user relationships



  • Proven experience in team management, mentoring staff, and driving group success



  • Demonstratedtrack recordof academic and professional achievement



  • Bachelor’s or master’sdegree in computer science, Engineering, or related field



  • Degree from aTierI am engineeringinstitute (IIT / NIT / BITS / equivalent) preferred
