UiPath Developer for Automation Testing

Project description The client is seeking an experienced UiPath Automation Test Developer to join a high-impact quality engineering initiative within a banking and financial services environment. The role involves end-to-end ownership of automated test design, development, execution, and deployment using the UiPath Test Suite platform — with a strong focus on validating complex financial workflows, automation pipelines, and core banking or capital markets applications. Candidates with finance domain knowledge are strongly preferred, given the nature of the systems and processes under test. Responsibilities Analyze functional and business requirements to design reusable, modular, and maintainable automated test scripts using UiPath Test Suite and Studio. Develop and execute a broad range of test types including unit, integration, end-to-end regression, progression, reconciliation, batch processing, and thick client application testing. Build and manage synthetic test data to simulate realistic financial transaction and trade scenarios for comprehensive RPA and application validation. Integrate UiPath Test Manager with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitLab CI / Azure DevOps) to support automated test triggering, reporting, and quality gating within the deployment lifecycle. Perform data-driven testing and validate data integrity across upstream and downstream financial systems and interfaces. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and DevOps teams to translate finance business rules into structured, executable test scenarios. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing test scripts and automation workflows to improve coverage, stability, and execution speed. Participate in test planning, estimation, and risk assessment activities as part of Agile sprint cycles or structured release programs. Maintain test documentation, defect logs, and execution reports within UiPath Test Manager and associated ALM / test management tools. Support UAT coordination by providing automated test evidence, traceability matrices, and sign-off documentation to business stakeholders. Skills Must have 5–7 years of hands-on experience in automation testing, with primary expertise in UiPath Test Suite, Test Manager, and Studio. Strong working knowledge of software development fundamentals and object-oriented programming concepts. Proven experience across the full Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and standard testing methodologies (Agile / Waterfall / Hybrid). Experience designing and executing test cases for thick client applications, batch workflows, and reconciliation scenarios. Proficiency in synthetic test data generation and management for financial application validation. Hands-on experience integrating UiPath tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and automated regression. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business requirements and functional specifications. Experience with defect management and test reporting tools such as Jira, ALM, or Azure DevOps. Nice to have 3–5 years of experience in banking, capital markets, or financial services domain — covering areas such as trade lifecycle, payments, reconciliation, settlements, or core banking operations. Exposure to Murex, Temenos, Finastra, FIS, or similar financial platforms from a testing or functional perspective.
