· Position – Technical lead - Mechanical

· Location – Odisha / Bihar / Madhya Pradesh

· Job Type – Fix Term Deployment of 2 Years and could be extended up to 4 Years

An Ideal Candidate:

· B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering

· Minimum 10 experience in Project Management and min 5 years of experience in project execution for Thermal Power plant Packages

· Certifications like PMP, CAPM, Agile, Lean Construction Certification would be an added advantage.

Key Competencies:

Roles and Responsibilities.

· Support the Project Planner / Manager in preparation of integrated resource loaded construction schedule covering mechanical works pertaining to BTG, BOP, Civil, Transmission, Railway, Water packages

· Support the Project Planner / Manager in comparison of actual progress achieved on ground against the baseline schedule and identify variances along with its root causes

· Identify critical path and suggest mitigation plans / catch up schedule to overcome delays incurred

· Support in preparation of three-month rolling plan by giving mechanical works related inputs to the Project Planner / Manager. Ensure monitoring of progress against the rolling plan finalized for execution.

· Coordinate with various stakeholders including the client (both at site and Head Office) for necessary inputs

· Lead the review of the mechanical works progress achieved at various periodicities (daily, weekly and monthly). Maintain daily, weekly and monthly progress reports by providing mechanical works related inputs with focus on exceptions across all packages across engineering, procurement and construction phases.

· Identify constraints / hindrances / hold ups in work packages for the current months. Forecast, anticipated bottlenecks / hindrances which may hamper project progress in the coming three months

· Track and monitor supply of materials /equipments/ BOPs/ BOIs for mechanical works progress. Identify and highlight the items critical to ensure timely delivery of works

· Track and monitor contractor mobilization in accordance with the schedule.

· Track and monitor overall quality and safety exceptions related to mechanical works in terms of non-compliances / observations raised and its closure in accordance with the defined timelines.

· Support the Project Manager in development and of sub vendor performance management system. Support in conducting performance evaluation at periodic intervals. Provide inputs on lessons learnt.

· Support the Project Manager with collation and sharing mechanical works related inputs pertaining to claims and disputes, delays incurred and hindrances / constraints leading to progress shortfall

· Interface with other disciplines to ensure monitoring is carried out in a wholistic manner.
