Staff Software Engineer —Test (GenAI / Agentic AI in VLSI Domain)Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer (QA) specializing in CI/CD automation and platform-level testing for ML-integrated software platforms that redefine Electronic Design Automation (EDA) workflows. The ideal candidate will drive quality for GenAI and agentic applications by building and owning automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for system-level validation and release gating.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Implement CI/CD Pipelines: Architect and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Github Actions etc.) tailored for GenAI workflows and platform-level deployments.
• Platform-Level Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for GenAI and Agentic applications in VLSI domain
• Automation & Quality Assurance: Automate integration, regression, and performance testing for AI applications and infrastructure.
• System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of components across diverse environments (on-prem, Kubernetes).
• Monitoring & Reporting: Establish monitoring solutions for pipeline health, test coverage, and deployment reliability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Software engineers, Systems engineer, domain experts and embed best practices in testing and deployment.
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for CI/CD processes, test cases, and platform configurations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years in software domain with solid domain expertise in automation, CI/CD and ML platform operations.
• CI/CD Tools: Advanced proficiency in GitLab, Jenkins, and related automation frameworks.
• ML Ops Platforms: Hands-on experience with various MLOps, Agentic platforms, including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Testing Frameworks: Experience with modern Python testing and automation ecosystems (e.g., pytest-based frameworks, test containers, API/integration test tooling). 
• HPC environment: Experience working with LSF Job schedulers and HPC clusters preferable
• Programming: Proficient in Python for test automation and scripting.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced Testing: Experience with platform-level testing for distributed ML systems.
• Contributions: Open-source, patents, or technical publications related to ML platform testing and automation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
