TheStaff Data Engineer (Reporting & Analytics)is responsiblefordesigning and improving Danaher’s data management& analytics function. The primaryobjectiveof this role is tobuildanalytics strategies that align with business prioritiesand drive measurable business outcomes.

This positionreports to theSr. Director – Data Engineeringandis part of theCore Technology &Planning is onsite based out of Bangalore,India.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Data Engineerbuilds andmaintainsanalytics-ready datasetsoptimizedfor reporting and dashboardsfor consumption by all Danaher Opcos. 

  
  

• Enable self-service access through semantic layers, catalogues, and APIs, empowering data scientists, analysts, and business teams to consume data without deep pipeline knowledge. 

  
  

• Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into clear,accuratemetrics. 

  
  

• Ensure data accuracy,freshness,and consistency across reporting surfaces 

  
  

• Implement testing,documentation,and quality checks for data analytics 

  
  

The essential requirements of the job include:

• 8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, reporting, or business intelligence roles

  
  
• Advanced expertise in PySpark and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for analytics and reporting
• Hands-on delivery of Fabric or Databricks lakehouse solutions using medallion architecture (Dataflow Gen2, Fabric Pipelines, PySpark Notebooks, OneLake/Lakehouse)
• Strong command of Power BI architecture, including DirectQuery, Composite Models, RLS/OLS, and dashboards
• Proven experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and designing high‑volume, highly available cloud data pipelines on Azure or AWS

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel to Washington DC and global Danaher sites, up to 10% 

  
  

It would be a plus if you alsopossesspreviousexperience in:

• Experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake,BigQuery, Redshift) 

  
  

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) 

  
  

• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
