Sr. Program Manager, Distribution and Topology

We are hiring a Senior Program Manager to design the next phase of India topology spanned across fulfilment centers, distribution nodes and quick commerce topology. This role revolves around running complex and cross functional supply chain projects for identifying frugal and strategic opportunities. This role is a part of the centralized supply chain planning function at Amazon India. The incumbent will be responsible for management of important goals for the India business. These projects will typically involve designing and building complex new processes, driving technology solutions, or launching exciting new supply chain models.
The incumbent will be own the following -
1) They will be responsible for working with finance, supply chain execution, transportation and other Amazon teams to identify pain points and scope out large high impact projects
2) They will be responsible for interaction across Amazon teams to reduce cost and improve coverage for our customers.
3) They will be responsible for driving cost and speed benefit analysis and go/no-go decisions on various initiatives
4) The program manager will develop a roadmap and metrics to measure progress of the initiative they own. They will also own writing reports/documents that detail the progress to leadership on a frequent basis
5) They will liaise across functions to drive their project and help clear issues and bottlenecks.
6) They will work with technology teams to scope out and drive any tech changes that are needed
Above all, we expect program managers to be single threaded owners for their initiatives.
About the team
Distribution and Topology planning team anchors the strategic flow for A.in network and designing long-term programs.
- Team strategizes on where to launch fulfilment centers, DCs and QC network
- How do we inbound and then distribute across the network
- Define what would be the long-term strategic focus of the organization
- Enable both quick-wins and long-term improvement opportunities
- Continuous process improvement to cater changing business needs
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- 7+ years of Business strategy or Non-Tech Program Management experience
- 7+ years of supply chain experience
