At our organization we are advancing Digital Shop Floor technologies and capabilities across the organization. This role will work with manufacturing sites and the various Automation Product Teams (primarily DeltaV but also MES, OSI PI etc.,) to provide technical guidance and support in all aspects of automation, including change-controls, projects and all aspects of lifecycle management.
The Specialist – Manufacturing Automation will serve as control system engineer as part of Digital Manufacturing Organization (DMO) member supporting the DeltaV Product technical activities for implementing automation change controls. The Specialist is responsible for DeltaV Batch automation software change controls implementation to worldwide manufacturing sites. Responsibilities also include project management, system upgrades support, troubleshooting issues, identifying trends, process monitoring, system administration, documentation updates, and participating in deviation investigations. Must be able to communicate clearly (oral and written) and frequently with site teams, Product Teams and other support groups.
What will you do in this role
Develop DeltaV solutions for automation requirements and site change control requirements.
Support new medicinal product introductions and continuous improvement by implementing changes in DeltaV code.
Analyze complex business requirements and identify the impact to DeltaV batch automation software to meet these requirements.
Support the development of Digital Shopfloor technologies and their integration.
Work collaboratively with the above-site Automation Product Teams and sites to drive process, system and compliance improvements.
Ensure new system installations/upgrades align with company Standard Automation Architecture and Cyber Standards.
Understand the control systems infrastructure and able to perform control system administration monitoring using customized monitoring tool.
Understand and support all GMPs, CSV, safety, and environmental regulations.
Use their technical knowledge to ensure the efficient operation of a variety of automated processing and information technology systems.
What should you have
3+ Years of experience of Emerson Delta system configuration and administration.
Experience of Delta system automation software change controls.
Ability to understand, update, design and implement required code modifications in Delta.
Experience with automation system design, start-up and/or qualification.
Experience with project execution for Delta/Automation System implementation and upgrade.
Experienced problem solver/troubleshooter, skilled in root cause analysis
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent organizational skills to multi-task.
Candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Strong analytical thinking and technical writing skills.
Pharmaceutical/Life Science experience with international companies.
