What You Will Do:
Drive technical excellence across multiple GBS solutions
- Participate in technical design reviews to ensure high-quality platforms.
- Develop and implement plans to fill skillset gaps on the team and within the broader global organization
- Contribute to the technical roadmap by identifying gaps in our technical implementation and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and cross-train technical solution members within the team to provide platform support coverage
Directly manage all work flowing through the team
- Focus on timely delivery/issue resolution while ensuring quality, overseeing work through to acceptance by the originating team/requestor.
- Ensure that all work completed by the team undergoes thorough peer review, testing, and adheres to Ecolab best practices.
- Measure performance of the team through reporting of KPIs and other metrics
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insights into team progress, delivery timelines, and individual professional goals.
- Develop and maintain reporting frameworks to communicate team metrics and progress effectively to stakeholders.
- Communicate clear expectations regarding work completion timelines, including prompt communication of any anticipated delays.
Grow talent and manage team composition
- Conduct weekly 1:1s with core team members to support their professional development.
- Make recommendations regarding missing or inadequately staffed skill sets to optimize team capabilities.
- Hire, mentor, and grow passionate individuals who thrive in strong teams and facilitate the onboarding process for new members.
- Provide learning opportunities and guidance for team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, MIS) or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing teams
- 5+ years’ experience supporting global IT technology solutions, where installation, upgrades, coding, performance tuning, support and administration were required
- Experience developing or supporting system integrations, ETL solutions
- Experience with applications running on Windows/UNIX Operating System
- Experience with application and server monitoring tools (SCOM, Elastic, AppDynamics)
- Experience developing and managing SQL databases
- Experience working with third-party support teams and vendors
- Able to act independently, seeking guidance and advice as appropriate
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP integrated applications
- Experience with SaaS solutions
- Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL principals
- Experience with Source to Pay or other global business services or shared services pillars
- Experience mentoring and professionally developing software engineers, with a focus on creating formal learning opportunities
- Adaptive to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks effectively
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and project leadership skills, with an ability to articulate and execute a philosophy for building effective, cohesive, and collaborative cross-functional teams
- Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day execution
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of application concepts/make-up such as security, database, servers, networks and cloud & virtualization concepts
