We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET I) with 3–5 years of experience to help build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend services.
The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills, an automation-first mindset, and experience integrating automated testing into modern CI/CD pipelines.
As an SDET, you will work closely with developers, product managers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software releases through robust test automation, continuous testing, and proactive quality practices.
Programming Python/Java/Javascript (strong proficiency required) Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) Concepts Data Structures and Algorithms fundamentals (Good to have) UI Test Automation Experience with one or more: Selenium WebDriver with PyTest Playwright with PyTest Cypress API Testing Hands-on experience with atleast one or more of: REST APIs HTTP methods JSON/XML Postman REST Assured (Java) or Requests (Python) Good understanding of: Authentication OAuth JWT Basic Auth API Keys Version Control Experience with: Git GitHub GitLab Bitbucket Database Testing Basic SQL knowledge including: SELECT JOIN GROUP BY Subqueries CRUD validation Experience validating backend data.
Agile Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Knowledge of: Sprint planning Daily standups Retrospectives User stories Acceptance criteria Defect Management Experience using: Jira Azure DevOps Bugzilla ClickUp Basic DevOps Knowledge Understanding of either of the below is a plus: Docker Kubernetes (basic) Linux commands Shell scripting Good to Have Performance testing using JMeter or Locust Contract testing Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) AI-assisted test automation tools Required Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent debugging skills Effective verbal and written communication Ability to work independently and collaboratively Ownership mindset Attention to detail Continuous learning attitude Time management and prioritization Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in software testing or test automation.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in one or more of the following will be preferred: Cybersecurity or Identity Management Software company E-commerce applications SaaS platforms Banking or fintech systems Enterprise applications
