The DSCOT Technology team develops and supports systems and processes that make planning, manufacturing, launching and supporting our devices as efficient and frictionless as possible. We are growing and looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to help build our Supply Chain and Ops platform. We own and build platforms to support everything from Supply Planning, Materials Management, Product Lifecycle Management to Device Costing, among others. Come join the team that helps Amazon invent and innovate the Amazon Devices Supply chain and work with the best and the brightest in the industry! You will be working on a AWS based full stack application platform including Java, Spring, React, RDS (Dynamo and Aurora), Redshift and Data science+ML tools that our team uses to solve complex Supply Chain optimization problems
Key job responsibilities
- You take a long-term view of architecture, proactively fixing deficiencies and/or proposing larger projects.
- You understand the business impact of your systems and show good judgment when making technical trade-offs.
- You are a key influencer in team strategy.
- You bring perspective and provide context to guide future technology choices.
- Your code submissions and approach to work are exemplary. You write software that is easy for others to contribute to.
- You drive engineering best practices (e.g., Operational Excellence, Security, Quality, etc.) and set standards.

- You contribute to the professional development of colleagues, improving their technical knowledge and engineering practices.
- You ensure your team s stronger because of your presence, but does not require your presence to be successful.
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
