Avacone is seeking an experienced Siemens OT Developer with 5-12 years of experience to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will specialize in developing, implementing, and maintaining operational technology solutions within industrial automation environments, particularly using Siemens technologies such as TIA Portal and WinCC.
In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable and reliable automation systems, ensure seamless integration with IT infrastructure, and contribute to digital transformation initiatives that improve manufacturing and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience 5-12 years of hands-on experience in operational technology and industrial automation development.
Expertise with Siemens automation platforms, especially TIA Portal and WinCC.
Proficient in PLC programming languages (e.
g., STL, FBD, Ladder Logic) and SCADA/HMI development.
Experience with industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, MODBUS, and Ethernet/IP.
Familiarity with distributed control systems (DCS) such as DeltaV or Siemens PCS is desirable.
Working knowledge of integration technologies, including RESTful APIs and web services.
Experience with version control tools (e.
g., Git) and Agile development methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
Preferred Skills Knowledge of ISA-88 and ISA-95 standards.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
Experience with data monitoring, logging tools like Prometheus, and messaging systems such as RabbitMQ.
Exposure to AI and digitalization frameworks in OT environments.
