About your team

The Global Platform Solution (GPS) provides systems development, business analysis, architecture & engineering, implementation and support services for FIL’s Workplace Investing, Personal Investing and Advisory businesses in UK, Continental Europe, Asia Pacific regions.

Fidelity Personal Investing (PI) offers a guidance service to customers who wish to invest directly with Fidelity (without a financial adviser or broker). We have PI offerings in the UK, Germany, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The Advisor Platform is where intermediaries and clients linked with intermediaries can invest on the platform. Financial advisers manage their business and Fidelity support them in giving the most effective advice to clients looking to save money and plan for their retirements. This is done through our Fidelity Platform Business - FundsNetwork (FNW) in UK, Fidelity Frankfurter Fondsbank (FFB) in Germany & Austria.

Workplace Investing offers investments and administrative services for both global and local corporate pension schemes and their employees. The corporate is the client of Fidelity and the employees are the members of the scheme. There are WI offerings in the UK, Germany and Hong Kong, along with the IPP based out of Dublin serving international companies.

GPS Record Keeping team needs a highly motivated Analyst Programmer to work on multiple new projects. He/She will be responsible for the doing analysis and programming of GFAS application which is based on IBM AS400 iSeries platform with respect to new requirements / enhancements.

Our STA are experts in Test Automation. The role would focus on services, functional, data test automation. The key outcomes shall be (but not limited to) to create services and functional automation suite keeping DevOps principle of speed and quality in mind.Your role would be key to implementing modern engineering principles like Test Pyramid during the delivery lifecycle.

About you

• Relevant experience in writing test automated test scripts in frameworks like maven, Junit, SOAP UI etc.
• Experience of using source code management tools, e.g. SVN/GitHub
• Candidate needs to have knowledge around engineering skills, CI / CD and build/ deployment automation tools.
• Familiar with TDD, Three Amigos and Specification by Example in an agile environment
• Experience in implementing automated tests in Java using tools such as Gauge, Cucumber, SoapUI.
• Good understanding of database concepts, such as data models, schemas, tables, queries, views, stored procedures, constraints, and transactions.
• Knowing development methodologies such as Scrum, Agile, and Kanban.
• Familiarity with cloud concepts as well as Agentic AI is also nice to have.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential Skills / Experience

1. Test Analysis & Test Management

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to analyze business and functional requirements.
• Creation and review of:
  • Test Strategy
  • Test Plans
  • Test Scenarios
  • Test Cases
  • Test Summary Reports
• Risk-based testing and defect prevention techniques.

2. Functional & System Testing

• End-to-end testing of applications and business processes.
• Integration, Regression, System, UAT, and Smoke Testing.
• Experience validating complex data flows and interfaces.

3. Defect Management

• Expertise in defect logging, triage, prioritization, and root cause analysis.
• Experience using tools such as:
  • Jira
  • ALM/Quality Center

4. Agile Delivery Experience

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Participation in:
  • Sprint Planning
  • Backlog Refinement
  • Daily Stand-ups
  • Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives

5. Test Automation Awareness

• Understanding of automation frameworks and tools.
• Ability to identify automation candidates.
• Exposure to tools such as:
  • Selenium
  • Playwright
  • Rest Assured

6. Database & Data Validation

• Strong SQL skills for backend validation.
• Experience querying databases and analyzing large datasets.
• Knowledge of platforms such as Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.

7. API & Integration Testing

• REST/SOA service testing.
• Experience with:
  • Postman
  • Swagger/OpenAPI
  • SOAP UI
• Validation of message queues, interfaces, and data transformations.

8. Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Ability to communicate with:
  • Business Analysts
  • Developers
  • Product Owners
  • Project Managers
  • Senior Leadership
• Strong reporting and status communication skills.
