This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 2000000 - Rs 4500000 (ie INR 20-45 LPA) Min Experience: 5 years Location: Bengaluru JobType: full-time We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong systems engineering expertise to build and optimize high-performance client libraries that power real-time, mission-critical applications.
This is a hands-on role where you will design and develop core components that enable seamless client-server communication while maintaining extremely low-latency performance at scale.
You will work on sophisticated software libraries that handle routing, connection management, failover mechanisms, and performance optimizations.
The role goes beyond coding—you will influence architectural decisions, improve developer experience, and help shape engineering practices within a growing team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex system-level problems and building reliable, scalable software used across global applications.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize high-performance client libraries using Golang and Java Build and enhance client-server communication components to ensure reliability and speed Drive performance improvements to maintain low-latency, high-throughput systems Collaborate with global engineering teams to deliver stable and scalable releases Troubleshoot complex client-side issues and provide advanced technical support Contribute to API design and improve overall developer experience Maintain high standards of code quality, testing, and system reliability Participate in architectural discussions and influence system design decisions Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability building Continuously enhance engineering practices and development processes What Makes You a Great Fit 5–8 years of experience in software engineering with strong expertise in Golang Solid experience with Java (good to have) and backend systems development Strong understanding of concurrency, networking, and distributed systems Experience building SDKs, libraries, or performance-critical systems Proven ability to design scalable, reliable, and efficient software architectures Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on performance and system optimization Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team growth Familiarity with NoSQL systems and cloud-native environments is an advantage Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code Excellent collaboration and communication skills
