WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
The Senior Software Engineer at SimCorp, at the IC4 grade, is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions while ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements. With typically 4-6 years of experience, this role involves taking ownership of key components of software projects, working with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, and mentoring junior engineers. The Senior Software Engineer plays a key role in solving complex technical challenges, optimizing software performance, and ensuring that solutions are scalable and maintainable. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Your qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
4 - 6 years of experience in software engineering with combined Dev QA responsibilities.
Expertise in .NET / C# and working knowledge of Angular.
Known for impactful leadership, resulting in improved efficiency and project success among engineering teams
Extensive background in test automation (E2E, API, Integration) and test strategy
Solid experience in architecting and developing enterprise-scale applications.
Extensive knowledge of Cloud and On-Prem infrastructures (Microsoft Azure experience)
Deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines and tools (Git, TeamCity, Azure DevOps).
Thorough understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and Domain-Driven Design
Familiarity with XP practices (TDD, pair programming, continuous integration).
Experience with relational databases (SQL).
Readiness to learn APL.
Proficient English communication skills (Upper-Intermediate or higher), both written and spoken
Ability to mentor, motivate, and guide a team toward technical excellence and efficient delivery
