A Day in the LifeAs an IT MA&D Infrastructure Business Analyst in Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures (MA&D), your primary role is to support teams and stakeholders in delivering successful infrastructure integration initiatives within a complex and evolving business environment.
This role assists the Infrastructure Integration Lead by supporting infrastructure-related analysis and coordination activities, including business analysis, options analysis, tracking progress against timelines, and stakeholder communications.
The role plays a key part in supporting the planning and execution of technology and infrastructure-related activities during a merger, acquisition, or divestiture. The focus is on ensuring a smooth infrastructure transition and contributing to outcomes such as seamless system integration, improved operational efficiency, and overall effectiveness.
Success in this role requires strong coordination and communication across cross-functional teams, including collaboration with project managers, business stakeholders, IT infrastructure teams, and external partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Support planning and execution of IT infrastructure integration during M&A and divestiture initiatives
- Develop and maintain infrastructure integration plans covering networks, hosting, cloud, security, and data migration
- Ensure alignment with business and program strategy
- Conduct infrastructure-focused IT due diligence across networks, cloud, hosting, and end-user environments
- Identify risks, synergies, costs, and integration challenges
- Evaluate infrastructure readiness and compatibility
- Partner with infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, program managers, and external vendors
- Facilitate collaboration between infrastructure, application, and business teams
- Coordinate with deal and contract management teams
- Support delivery of integration programs with measurable business outcomes
- Coordinate activities across infrastructure and application landscapes
- Ensure readiness for enterprise platforms such as SAP, Workday, Salesforce
- Track progress using JIRA, Smartsheet, Excel, and MS Project
- Maintain dashboards, status reports, and documentation (Confluence)
- Manage risks, dependencies, timelines, and budgets
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership
- Coordinate infrastructure-related testing activities including environment readiness and connectivity validation
- Support access provisioning and UAT coordination
- Identify and resolve integration and infrastructure issues
- Assist in cutover planning and go-live execution
- Ensure infrastructure readiness and stability during transitions
- Support change management and user enablement
- Gather and document infrastructure-related requirements
- Perform business and options analysis to support decisions
- Prepare executive-level communications, reports, and updates
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field
- 7–12 years of experience in Business Analysis, IT infrastructure, or M&A project coordination
- 3+ years of project/program management experience
- Strong understanding of infrastructure concepts (networks, cloud, hosting, security)
- Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, Excel)
- Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills
- Understanding of application lifecycle and system integration concepts
- Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
Nice to Haves: - Experience with ERP systems such as SAP (S/4HANA, ECC)
- Exposure to enterprise platforms like Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
- Understanding of integration technologies (APIs, middleware, ETL tools)
- Experience in regulated industries (medical devices, life sciences)
- Knowledge of business processes (O2C, P2P, R2R, H2R)
- Experience with data migration and application integration strategies
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
