Position Summary: Siemens Energy Gas Services (GS) is seeking a Senior Expert in Robotics, Physical AI, and Simulation to accelerate and automate manual processes. The role focuses on applying advanced robotics, AI‑driven physical systems, and high‑fidelity simulation to GS use cases such as repetitive tasks in manufacturing, material inspection, maintenance, validation, and automation of existing manufacturing processes. The position will enable digital twins, virtual commissioning, and simulation‑driven development using platforms such as NVIDIA Omniverse; helping reduce risk, downtime, and operation cost in real GS field deployments. How You’ll Make an Impact (key responsibilities of role) Build and maintain physics‑based simulations and digital twins using NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, or equivalent tools. Strong expertise in physical modeling of robotic systems and training environments. Hands ‑ on experience and familiarity with NVIDIA APIs and SDKs relevant to robotics, simulation, and AI workflows. Enable simulation to real workflows, ensuring alignment between simulated environments and physical systems. Hands-on exposure to advanced automation applications integrating AI, simulation and Digital Twin concepts. Integrate AI/ML models (vision, reinforcement learning, control policies) into simulated and real robotic systems. Understanding GS Use-cases related to manufacturing process line, material inspection etc., which supports industrialization of robotics and automation solutions. Collaborate with system architects, and domain experts to translate Siemens Energy requirements into technical solutions. Understanding unified interface to trigger robot missions and track KPIs in simulated environments. Experience integrating sensors (cameras, LiDAR, force/torque, IMUs) in simulation and real systems. Contribute technical documentation, design reviews, and customer presentations. What You Bring (required qualification and skill sets) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or any related field. 5-8 years of professional experience in robotics, automation, AI‑based physical systems, or simulation. Strong hands‑on experience with NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, or comparable physics‑based simulation environments. Proficiency in Python and/or C++ for robotics and simulation development. Experience applying Physical AI concepts (perception, decision‑making, motion planning) to real‑world systems. Ability to work in agile, cross‑functional teams. Growth mindset, continuous learning attitude and openness to innovation, with natural curiosity for Next Generation Automation technologies. Nice to Have / Preferred Qualifications Exposure to reinforcement learning, synthetic data generation, Teleoperation. Exposure to MLOps, Cloud based testing environment. Knowledge of digital twin concepts for simulating robot and its environment. Working knowledge of gas turbine manufacturing processes.
