General Summary:

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced engineer specializing in Python tooling with a solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles for tools development that primarily interface with SoCs for debugging these platforms from a host.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and develop python-based tools using oops methodologies and best design practices to develop efficient and optimized solutions aligning with PEP-8 and pylint conformance.

· Practical experience developing projects/prototypes on microcontrollers or SoC based platforms.

· Ability to develop, cross compile, package and debug issues on Linux/Windows-based environments.

· Analyze and debug complex issues spanning memory, communication protocols, and transport stacks.

· Collaborate with hardware, firmware and validation teams during integration.

· Follow secure coding practices, code reviews, and upstream-friendly workflows

· Create impactful customer facing documentation.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachedlor’s/Master’s degree (B.E/ B.Tech/ M.Tech / MS) in Embedded Systems, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics, or related fields

· Strong proficiency in Python programming with Object oriented focus.

· Solid understanding of Operating Systems concepts on Linux, such as :

o Interrupts & exceptions

o Synchronization (mutex, semaphore)

o Memory management

o Transport (USB, UART, SPI etc)

· Good understanding of microcontroller or SoC architectures

· Exposure to embedded toolchains, cross-compilation, and debugging

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong knowledge of SDLC processes and Agile methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

· Version control: Git/GitHub/GitLab/Perforce, Pytest and python packages, CI/CD pipelines: Airflow, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or similar, Debuggers: PDB

· Knowledge/Familiarity of any other Object-oriented languages like C++, Java.

· Experienced in working with cloud and web-based development tools and platforms.

· Interest in/Contributions to open-source systems software

· Academic projects, thesis, or internships involving microcontrollers.
