In this position you will be located at our office in Hyderabad 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer with strong expertise in 3DEXPERIENCE / CATIA V5 for mechanical design. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in conceptual product design, manufacturing drawing creation, and tool design for aerospace and defense applications. The role involves complete ownership of the design lifecycle from concept to final release.

Your profile 

Design and Development: 

• Decent exposure to conceptual product design.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical systems and mechanisms.       
• Advanced user of 3Dexperence/Catia Parametric for 3D Mechanical design.
• Proficient in creation of fully tolerance manufacturing drawings according to ISO standards.
• Good Knowledge on engineering materials.
• Design production tools, jigs, and fixtures for aerospace and defence manufacturing. 
• Create shop aid tools for both production and maintenance activities. 
• Validate tool designs for fit, function, and manufacturability, ensuring compliance with
• ASME Y14.5-2018 standards. 
• Perform tolerance analysis, interface assembly checks, and stress feedback incorporation.
• Manage the design process from conceptual design to detailed parts and final release of manufacturing drawings.   
• Select appropriate COTS items and determine the make-or-buy parts strategy for tools. 

Documentation & Reporting: 

• Prepare detailed drawings, technical specifications, and comprehensive documentation for assembly. 
• Use MS Office (Excel, Access) for reporting and maintaining documentation. 

Additional skillset

• Defence domain is an advantage
• Effective communication skills
• Confident in the theory and use of standard structural calculations to back up the design
• Composite Design and Composite Workbench
• Part manufacturability and manufacturing knowledge
