Senior Consultant - Automation Testing

Role: Senior Consultant - QA Testing
Experience: 6 to 8 Years
Location: India (Delhi/ Hyderabad/ Mumbai/ Noida/Pune)

We are seeking an inquisitive and talented Automation Engineer to join our existing development team working on an SAP based application.

You will be contributing to the automation testing scope of projects, scripting and executing each user cases in accordance with the requirements as well as running manual tests when required.

You will be highly involved in team participation, working closely with your SCRUM team to complete sprint work in the given timeframe.

Technical Experience & Core Competencies

• Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in QA Automation and Manual Testing, with significant experience in testing medium to large-size projects.
• Over 2 years of proven experience as a Lead QA Engineer, driving strategy and mentorship.
• Must possess comprehensive testing experience across back-end data processing, User Interfaces (UI), and Web-based applications.
• Expertise in building robust, scalable automation frameworks using tools like Tosca, capable of accommodating current and future technology requirements.
• Strong knowledge of SAP business processes and modules with 3–6 years of experience in SAP testing.
• Data validation through SAP tables.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and associated tools (e.g., AWS services such as S3, Redshift, AWS Lambda, Aurora).
• Proficient in designing, developing, documenting, and executing data quality checks across all data assets.
• Skilled in preparing and maintaining complex data sets required for testing logic, error handling, and system workflows for automation.
• Good working knowledge of database/SQL queries.
• Ability to estimate automated testing effort levels accurately for projects and tasks within an Agile environment.

Be responsible

• Apply both manual and automated testing approaches to ensure robust and risk-based test coverage across all layers of the application.
• Develop, execute, and maintain Tosca automation suites while supplementing with manual exploratory, regression, and UAT support where required.
• Create detailed, creative test cases and scenarios that account for business rules, exceptions, and edge cases.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Actively support both Agile and Waterfall development methods and best practices
• Using JIRA to track defects and tasks

• Strong soft skills necessary for working closely with engineering and analytical teams to find optimal solutions to technical challenges.
• Establishes excellent rapport with development teams, coordinating testing activities, delivering accurate/detailed defect reports, and prioritizing issues effectively.
• Stays abreast of emerging trends and best practices in the field of QA automation.
• Collaborate with other Development Team members in planning phase of User Stories during Scrum Sprints, and with the QA team in areas such as training and assistance
• Support business test team in UAT

You will work very closely with the development and QA team to understand and validate the requirements, ensuring quality standards are met for any changes deployed. You will be testing across web and mobile environments, and much be happy interacting with member across our whole development team.
