Johnson Controls is searching for askilledand experiencedSalesforceDeveloperto work on the design and construction of JCI’sSalesforce.com instances.Theideal candidatewill have anin-depthunderstanding of how totranslatecomplex product requirementsinto anelegantly coded, usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainablesolutions in the Salesforce.com platform and associated add-ons.

TheDeveloper will be working in an agile environment, with both onshore and offshore teammates, as well as with our leadership team,using iterative andcutting-edgedevelopmentmethods.

Responsibilities

The developer willdesign andbuildrobust, elastic, and maintainableSalesforce.com modules and solutions.The applicantwill bepart ofan offshoreand onshore team. Hemustbe a self-starterhavinga thorough understanding ofSaleforce.com administration, configuration, coding,integration strategies, data manipulation,rolesand profiles.

Candidatewillparticipateinanoffshore developmentteam, as well ascollaborate withonshore UI/UX Lead, Product Owner, Solutions Delivery Lead, andSolutionsArchitectto plan and coordinate efforts.Candidatewillevaluate user requirements,in collaboration withtheProduct Owner,engineersand others.Thedeveloper will be expected to make recommendationson interacting withlegacy programs,create design documents to illustrate software components, provide best practices onSalesforce.com configuration and development,peerreview source code delivered by developers,create and updateobjectschemas and queries, and be able to read and interpret a current code base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experiencerequired, specializing in computer science, engineering,orrelatedfield

  
  

• Minimum3+ years of experienceadministering,configuringand building Salesforce.com solutions.

  
  

• Strong experience withworking with teams in anonshore and offshoremodel.

  
  

• Experience withAPEX, Salesforce.com Objects, Integration, data manipulations, and security.

  
  

• Strong experience in design,construction, and deploymenton the Salesforce.com platform.

  
  

• Strong experience with Database Design,Database Objects and Procedures

  
  

• Strong knowledge of design patterns and coding best practices

  
  

• Experience withdevelopingSaaS applications

  
  

• Experience with single sign-on, session management, user profiles, and user identity and

  
  

authentication frameworksa strongplus.

• Experience withtroubleshooting andsolving performance issues

  
  

• Experience with cloud platforms (ex. MSAzure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform),a plus.

  
  

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices and concepts
