Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a dedicated Risk Analytics and Reporting Specialist to develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, MIS reports, and analytical tools supporting enterprise risk and compliance functions. This role involves automating repetitive reporting processes, integrating data from multiple sources, and providing actionable insights to senior management and regulatory bodies. The successful candidate will leverage data analytics, visualization tools, and financial industry knowledge to strengthen risk management and ensure regulatory compliance.
Software Requirements
Required:
Strong proficiency in Python (latest stable release) for data analysis, automation, and modeling.
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikSense for creating dashboards and reports.
Expert in SQL and PL/SQL for extracting, transforming, and validating data from relational databases.
Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL/ELT processes.
Experience working with large datasets and ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) for deploying analytics solutions is a plus.
Preferred:
Experience with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, or Seaborn.
Knowledge of cloud data services (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse) for data storage and analysis.
Familiarity with automated report scheduling and subscription management within BI tools.
Overall Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance dashboards, reports, and analytical models to support risk management, AML, and compliance activities.
Automate recurring reports and metrics, reducing manual effort and increasing reporting efficiency.
Integrate data from multiple internal systems and external sources into consolidated views to facilitate risk analysis.
Analyze transaction and behavioral data for anomaly detection, trend analysis, and scenario testing.
Conduct root cause analysis in case of data discrepancies or system issues, and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including Risk, AML, and IT teams, to understand data and reporting requirements.
Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with applicable regulations in all reporting processes.
Monitor report performance, optimize dashboards, and continuously improve data visualization and analysis processes.

Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages:
Essential: Python, SQL/PLSQL
Preferred: R or other scripting languages for advanced analysis
Data & Data Management:
Deep experience working with relational databases and large datasets.
Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and quality controls.
BI & Visualization Tools:
Essential: Power BI, Tableau, or QlikSense for dashboard creation.
Preferred: Experience with data storytelling techniques and visualization best practices.
Cloud Technologies:

3 to 6 years supporting enterprise risk, AML, or compliance analytics functions.
Proven experience developing dashboards and reports for risk management.
Strong expertise working with SQL, Python, and BI tools.
Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems and ensuring data integrity.
Industry experience in finance, banking, or regulatory reporting is preferred; relevant academic or consulting experience is acceptable.
Day-to-Day Activities
Build and improve dashboards and reports to monitor risk metrics and operational performance.
Automate routine reporting tasks and ensure timely distribution of analytics outputs.
Work with cross-team stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Conduct data analysis to identify trends, outliers, and potential risks.
Troubleshoot data discrepancies and report performance issues.
Document data flows, report specifications, and validation procedures.
Support ad-hoc analyses requested by senior management and regulators.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or related fields.
3 to 6 years of experience supporting risk analytics, compliance, or financial reporting initiatives.
Demonstrated expertise in BI tools, SQL, Python, and data management.
Knowledge of regulatory standards such as IFRS9, Basel, GDPR, or similar.
Certifications in BI tools or data analytics technologies are a plus.
