Project Role : Quality Engineer
Project Role Description : Enables full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Performs continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite. Creates automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration. Participates in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.

Summary:
As a Quality Engineer, a typical day involves collaborating with a diverse team to design and implement comprehensive solutions that enhance the entire application lifecycle. The role focuses on integrating various systems and processes to speed up delivery while maintaining high standards of quality. Daily activities include executing continuous testing across multiple domains such as security and application programming interfaces, developing and maintaining automated testing scripts, and managing data and environment configurations. The position also involves active participation in code reviews, tracking and reporting defects, and contributing to ongoing improvements in testing methodologies to ensure robust and reliable software delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, specifically with Databricks. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and workflows, ensuring data quality and performance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Databricks.
- Implement ETL processes and data transformations.
- Optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.
- Ensure data quality and integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of testing processes within the development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks to support continuous testing efforts.
- Monitor testing outcomes and provide detailed reports to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on best practices.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience with Databricks, Python and ADF.
- Proficiency in Python, Spark, REST API, Good to have skill in Airflow.
- Strong understanding of data pipeline concepts.
- Experience with cloud platform - Azure ADLS.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Databricks.
- Experience with cloud-based data processing and analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of automation strategies and scripting for testing purposes.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues within complex application ecosystems.
- Knowledge of environment configuration and data management to support testing activities.
Additional Information:
- Experience with Airflow orchestrations.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft Azure Databricks.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
