Overview
We are seeking a Project Salesforce Developer dedicated exclusively to strategic CRM project delivery within Pathways CRM IT.
This is a hands-on technical project role responsible for ensuring that Salesforce transformation initiatives are delivered in line with internal architectural frameworks, shared org and central governance standards, and long-term platform strategy.
The role holds design approval authority for Pathways CRM projects and reports directly to the Head of CRM on architectural decisions and technical risk.
You will work in close partnership with Enterprise Architecture, the Core CRM team, Business Stakeholders, Project Managers, Business Analysts, SMEs, and wider IT functions to ensure project alignment and controlled delivery.
This role does not support BAU, IT Fresh Service, or minor enhancements. The focus is structured, strategic project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Project Technical Leadership
Be responsible for technical design oversight and hands on build across Salesforce projects from discovery to go-live.
Translate business requirements into scalable, compliant solutions aligned to internal architectural standards.
Present solution options with clear trade-offs, technical risks, and long-term implications.
Ensure all development adheres to agreed coding standards, security models, DevOps processes, and governance controls.
Architecture Governance & Design Authority
Participate in Architecture Review Boards and Design Authorities representing Pathways CRM IT.
Review, approve, or reject solution designs for Pathways CRM projects based on compliance with internal standards and shared platform principles.
Report design decisions and architectural risks.
Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture and the Core CRM team to ensure alignment with central governance and enterprise strategy.
Escalate conflicts or architectural concerns where necessary to protect platform integrity.
Vendor Oversight & Representation
Act as the primary technical representative of Pathways CRM IT in vendor-led implementations.
Review vendor designs, code, integrations, and deployment strategies.
Provide structured challenge to prevent short-term decisions that create long-term technical debt.
Ensure documentation, testing artefacts, and governance evidence meet required standards before release.
Hands-On Technical Contribution
Contribute to complex or high-risk development components where appropriate.
Build using a declarative-first mindset, with ability to employ Apex, LWCs, and approved integration patterns where required in adherence to internal frameworks.
Work with PTW IT QA to define and validate testing strategies including unit, integration, regression, and performance coverage.
Align with Core CRM to support structured and risk-managed deployment planning within the shared Salesforce org.

You will ensure technical alignment across all parties while maintaining clarity of decision responsibility within Pathways CRM IT.
Knowledge Transfer & Transition
Produce high-quality technical design documentation suitable for governance and future support.
Lead formal knowledge transfer sessions to the wider Pathways CRM and Core teams following implementation.
Support structured transition of post-implementation management under the Head of CRM.
Capture reusable architectural patterns to accelerate future project delivery.
About You - Required Experience
4–6 years of Salesforce development experience, ideally more.
Strong hands-on expertise in declarative tools as well as Apex, LWCs, security configuration, and integration architecture.
Experience operating within formal architecture governance or structured project environments.
Experience working alongside or overseeing third-party implementation partners.
Strong understanding of shared-org governance and enterprise Salesforce environments.
Familiarity with CI/CD, source control, and structured release management.
Confident in challenging design decisions and defending architectural standards.
Clear communicator capable of influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders. Desirable
Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II and architecture paths.
Experience in large CRM transformation programmes.
Exposure to Marketing Cloud or enterprise integration platforms.
Experience within regulated or compliance-driven environments.
