An Ideal Candidate:

The candidate is required to possess experience in BESS/BMS Embedded development within the Automotive/Automobile sector.

Key Competencies:

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Lead procurement operations in China for key products (Batrix, Zudian, cells, and related components)
• Identify, develop, and manage Chinese suppliers and manufacturers
• Handle cell buying, contract finalization, and volume commitments
• Ensure cost optimization, quality compliance, and on-time delivery

Commercial & Selling Support

• Support sales and business growth through competitive sourcing strategies
• Participate in commercial negotiations with suppliers and customers
• Align procurement pricing with market index trends
• Drive margin improvement through strategic sourcing and negotiation

Negotiation & Indexing

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, logistics, and supply agreements
• Manage price index-based procurement contracts
• Track market trends, raw material indices, and cost movements in China

China Market Expertise

• Maintain strong understanding of Chinese market dynamics, regulations, and business practices
• Act as the primary interface between China suppliers and global stakeholders
• Coordinate factory audits, supplier evaluations, and compliance checks

Leadership & Strategy

• Build and lead the China procurement team
• Develop long-term vendor and sourcing strategies
• Collaborate with sales, finance, logistics, and quality teams
• Report procurement performance, savings, and risks to leadership

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• Extensive experience in procurement in China
• Strong expertise in supplier negotiation and selling support
• Experience with cell buying, industrial components, or electronics
• Knowledge of pricing index models and cost benchmarking
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business
• MBA / Supply Chain certification is an advantage
