Principal Technical Program Manager, Prime Video Commerce Tech

Prime Video is how hundreds of millions of customers around the world discover, buy, and watch the content they love. Behind every offer a customer sees - every subscription, channel, rental, purchase, bundle, and deal - is a set of world-class systems built and owned by our Commerce team in Bengaluru.

We are the Prime Video Offers team: the front of the funnel for Prime Video's global commerce. We own critical services that determine what every customer in all countries can purchase, rent, or subscribe to - what price they see, what promotions apply, and how offers are composed across product lines. Our systems process billions of requests per day and sit on the critical path for every Prime Video transaction globally.

We are at an inflection point. We're expanding Prime Video Commerce into dozens of new markets while simultaneously transforming the underlying architecture - evolving to deliver flexibility across our products and offers more than ever. These aren't sequential bets; they're happening in parallel, across multiple engineering teams and partner organizations, each with their own roadmaps and constraints. The TPM who owns this will navigate that complexity and make it land.

We are looking for a Principal Technical Program Manager to own the end-to-end delivery of these programs. You will operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and business — making trade-off decisions, unblocking cross-org dependencies, driving operational cadence that gives executive leadership confidence without requiring their intervention, and delivering complex multi-org programs.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Own the delivery strategy for programs with senior leadership visibility - international expansion across new markets, architecture transformation milestones, and cross-product capability launches. Define the sequencing, the critical path, and the trade-offs.

Cross-Org Program Execution: Coordinate delivery across multiple engineering teams and partner organizations. Own the workback plans, dependency maps, risk registers, and escalation paths that keep multi-quarter programs on track across organizational boundaries.

Architecture Transformation Delivery: Drive the program execution of a multi-year architecture plan — platform buildout, API migration across dozens of consumers, interface harmonization across services, and shared capability rollouts. Sequence these against feature delivery so they compound rather than compete.

Operational Cadence & Mechanisms: Build and run the review cadences and launch readiness mechanisms that drive accountability across stakeholder teams. Give leadership clear, honest visibility — with a path to green, not just a status report.
Capacity & Resource Strategy: Map engineering bandwidth against the launch calendar, surface gaps well before they become blockers, and drive trade-off decisions when demand exceeds capacity.

Efficiency & Automation: Drive programs that reduce manual launch effort dramatically — automation targets, test coverage milestones, and effort reduction metrics that turn multi-quarter launches into repeatable, scalable processes.
Stakeholder Influence: Partner with senior leaders across multiple organizations to align priorities, negotiate timelines, and resolve structural blockers. Represent program health in leadership forums with clarity and conviction.
A day in the life
Your morning starts with a launch readiness review for a new territory — multiple teams on the call, you're making the go/no-go call. Before lunch, you're reviewing a migration burndown with engineering and deciding whether to re-sequence. In the afternoon, you're in a roadmap discussion with Product and senior leadership, making trade-off decisions on what to prioritize. You end the day preparing a status update for the leadership staff meeting — clear, honest, with a path forward. You operate across time zones, hold teams accountable without being adversarial, and know when to push versus when to pull in leadership.

- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
