- Intel Central Engineering Group is seeking Physical Design Engineers to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge custom IP and SoC designs for Intel products and Intel Custom ASIC Customers.
- In this role, you will play a pivotal part in translating RTL to GDS, enabling manufacturing-ready design databases that drive innovation in products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform physical design implementation tasks (RTL2GDS) for SoC partitions. Execute synthesis, floor planning, place and route, clock tree synthesis, and design finishing at partition level.
- Perform signoff tasks, including formal equivalence verification, static timing analysis, layout verification, and electrical rule checking.
- Analyze design results to identify and resolve violations while proposing enhancements for future product architectures.
- Optimize designs to improve power, frequency, and area metrics using industry-standard EDA tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and maximize product-level outcomes.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical, VLSI, Computer Engineering, or a related field with good knowledge in Physical Design domain for partition level RTL2GDSII execution. - Proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools for physical design (e.g., synthesis, place-and-route, timing analysis). - Demonstrated technical knowledge in RTL-to-GDS flow, floor planning, clock tree synthesis, and layout verification. - Expertise in timing closure and other partition level signoff is added plus
- Good communication and collaboration skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. - A passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of industry trends.
