Your role and responsibilities

As a seasoned Back-End Developer specializing in Cloud, you will work in an agile, collaborative environment across various Cloud platforms, leveraging expertise in multi-cloud environments, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

Your strong background in software development, database management, and cloud computing will enable you to drive innovative solutions and best practices. Your primary responsibilities will include:

* Design and Develop Cloud Solutions: Plan, analyze, design, and construct databases, implementing industry standards and best practices for database security, and analyzing and defining database and information security requirements.

* Develop RESTful APIs and Web Services: Use and develop RESTful APIs and web services, applying object-oriented programming, multi-threading, and concurrency principles.

* Implement Database Security: Develop structured query language (SQL) queries, back-end database stored procedures, and NoSQL queries, ensuring database security and compliance.

* Collaborate on Open Source Projects: Contribute to open source software, working effectively with open source communities, and driving community best practices in IBM processes.

* Drive Cloud Innovation: Show expertise in Software Defined Networks (SDN), Network Resiliency, Container Applications using Kubernetes, and Content Delivery, developing innovative solutions on platforms such as IBM Cloud, PowerVS, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Required technical and professional expertise

* Deep Expertise in Cloud Development: Proven experience in designing and developing cloud solutions, including planning, analyzing, and constructing databases, and implementing industry standards for database security.

* Mastery of RESTful APIs and Web Services: In-depth knowledge of developing and using RESTful APIs and web services, with expertise in object-oriented programming, multi-threading, and concurrency principles.

* Advanced Database Management: Experience in developing structured query language (SQL) queries, back-end database stored procedures, and NoSQL queries, with a strong focus on database security and compliance.

* Leadership in Open Source Communities: Demonstrated ability to contribute to open source software, collaborate with open source communities, and drive community best practices in IBM processes.

* Expertise in Multi-Cloud Environments: Deep understanding of multi-cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid clouds, as well as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

Preferred technical and professional experience

* Familiarity with Go, Ruby, Python, Java, Node.js: Knowledge of programming languages like Go, Ruby, Python, Java, Node.js, and server-side JavaScript is beneficial for developing cloud solutions.

* Experience with Open Source Projects: Contribution to open source software, such as kubernetes, Kata, Operators, and influencing the community to support IBM needs, is desirable.

* Understanding of Container Applications: Familiarity with container applications using Kubernetes and content delivery on platforms such as IBM Cloud, PowerVS, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud is advantageous.
