Job Description

Purpose of Role

To plan and deliver effective Tamil language instruction for Middle School students (Classes VI–VIII) in accordance with the CBSE curriculum, developing reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills while promoting cultural and literary appreciation.

CSAMiddle School Tamil Teacher (CBSE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Tamil language and literature to Classes VI–VIII as per CBSE curriculum.

  
  
  

• Prepare structured lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching aids aligned with learning outcomes.

  
  
  

• Develop students’ grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing skills.

  
  
  

• Encourage spoken Tamil through recitation, storytelling, debates, and activities.

  
  
  

• Assess, evaluate, and maintain records of student progress through tests and assignments.

  
  
  

• Use interactive and activity-based teaching methodologies.

  
  
  

• Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.

  
  
  

• Integrate ICT tools and digital resources where appropriate.

  
  
  

• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and academic concerns.

  
  
  

• Participate in curriculum planning, departmental meetings, and academic reviews.

  
  
  

• Support school events, language clubs, assemblies, and cultural activities.

  
  
  

• Maintain academic records, lesson plans, and assessment documentation.

  
  
  

• Follow CBSE norms, child protection policies, and school rules.

  
  
  

• Perform additional academic or administrative duties assigned by school management.
