Sutherland is seeking an attentive and technical person to join us as a­­­­n AI Solution Architect. The person should have hands-on experience in SQL and ETL techniques and frameworks. • Impact the bottom line: Produce solid and effective strategies based on accurate and meaningful data reports and analysis and/or keen observations
• Define Sutherland’s reputation: Oversee and manage performance and service quality to guarantee customer satisfaction
• Strengthen relationships: Establish and maintain communication with clients and/or team members; understand needs, resolve issues, and meet expectations

Take the lead: Able to debug the production issue quickly and provide the root cause analysis with resolution for the issue.

Responsibilities: 

Roles & Responsibilities – AI Architect

• Solution Architecture & Design: Design scalable, secure, and production-ready end-to-end AI solutions (GenAI, Agentic AI, ML), including model selection, system integration, and alignment with enterprise architecture.
• Best Practices in GenAI, Agentic AI & ML: Establish and promote best practices across prompt engineering, RAG, agent orchestration, model evaluation, and responsible AI (bias, hallucination mitigation, explainability).
• AI Demonstrations & Prototyping: Build and deliver tailored demos, POCs, and MVPs, effectively communicating complex AI concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Pre-Sales & Sales Enablement: Partner with sales teams to understand customer needs, shape AI-driven solutions, contribute to proposals (RFP/RFI), define value/ROI, and support deal strategy and positioning.
• Security, Compliance & Governance: Lead security questionnaire responses, design secure AI architectures, and ensure compliance with data privacy, governance, and risk mitigation standards (e.g., data leakage, prompt injection).
• Ecosystem & Tooling Expertise: Evaluate and leverage AI platforms, tools, and frameworks, driving adoption of reusable assets and reference architectures.
• Innovation & Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging AI trends (e.g., Agentic AI, multimodal AI), build reusable accelerators, and contribute to thought leadership.
• Business Impact & Growth: Drive measurable business outcomes, enhance sales pipeline and win rates through strong technical solutions and customer engagement.

Architect Production AI Systems

• Design end-to-end ML architectures for AI's framework, enabling governed multi-agent systems in healthcare.
• Build scalable inference infrastructure leveraging for sub-second latency throughput.
• Architect scalable AI platforms on Azure, AWS, or GCP with containerized, reproducible ML pipelines (Docker, CI/CD, model versioning).
• Establish MLOps practices that reduce time-to-production for new model iterations and enable safe, monitored rollouts in high-stakes social contexts.
• Define and enforce architectural standards across cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and research partners.

Accelerator Innovation & Client Delivery

• Lead technical design of AI accelerator features—from distributed compute orchestration to multi-tenant isolation and disaster recovery patterns
• Design and build multi-agent orchestration pipelines using LangGraph, LlamaIndex or equivalent frameworks — with real users, real scale, and real uptime requirements.
• Translate complex, multi-stakeholder social impact cases into agentic workflows that are resilient, auditable, and deployable in low-resource environments.
• Own the end-to-end AI system architecture from research prototype through production deployment. Translate ambiguous business challenges into concrete ML solutions—from autonomous invoice processing to conversational intelligence

Technical Leadership & Evangelism

1. Partner with customers and cloud teams on enterprise AI engagements, conducting architecture reviews and POCs for the clients.
2. Define best practices for LLM serving prompt engineering, guardrails, and model evaluation across accelerator products
3. Mentor ML engineers on agentic design patterns, production ML, and cloud-native AI infrastructure
4. Perform R&D, POCs with internal teams —experimenting with frontier models, emerging frameworks (MCPs, agent orchestration), and optimization techniques

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over all 15 + years of experience with relevant 8+ years in AI Solution Architect.
• Experience in designing Generative AI chatbots, Agentic AI frameworks including ingestion pipelines, query pipelines, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) using at least one cloud platform.
• Solid understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Contribute to RFPs/RFIs & proposals. Demonstrate showcasing GenAI (LLMs, RAG, ML, fine-tuning) and Agentic AI workflows to customers.
• Deliver compelling demos, POCs, and MVPs tailored to customer use cases
• Healthcare domain experience is a plus.
