Manager - IT Quality & Assurance Testing

Company:Marsh McLennan AgencyDescription:We are seeking a talented individual to join our MMA Tech, a Marsh business. This role will be based in Mumbai/Pune. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a QA Engineer at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), you will be instrumental in driving the quality assurance efforts within our application development team. You will lead a team of QA Testers, ensuring that testing processes are effectively implemented and adhered to throughout the software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing test plans, managing testing activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues. You will also be responsible for mentoring team members, fostering a culture of quality, and ensuring that best practices are followed. Additionally, you will prepare detailed reports on testing progress, quality metrics, and potential risks, providing stakeholders with clear visibility into the QA process.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills: 

Automation:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, related degree, or relevant experience
• 6+ years of experience as QA automation engineer
• Experience using programming languages such as JS/TS or Python
• Expertise in testing and automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, API Testing
• Knowledge of performance testing and tools like JMeter, BlazeMeter or LoadRunner, etc.
• AI knowledge is a plus

Functional:

• Demonstrate proficiency in manual testing methodologies, developing and implementing strategies that ensure high-quality software delivery throughout all phases of the development lifecycle. 
• Establish and execute a comprehensive quality assurance strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives and product roadmap, prioritizing quality from the outset. 
• Collaborate closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to integrate quality assurance practices throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring alignment on quality expectations. 
• Establish and maintain processes for defect tracking, management, and resolution, ensuring that issues are identified, documented, and addressed promptly to minimize impact on project timelines. 
• Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate testing tools and technologies that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process, keeping the team equipped with the best resources. 
• Document QA processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistency across the team and facilitate knowledge sharing, enabling team members to learn from each other. 
• Analyze testing processes and methodologies, gather feedback from retrospectives, and implement improvements to enhance team productivity and overall product quality. 
• Proactively identify potential quality risks early in the development process and collaborate with teams to effectively mitigate those risks, ensuring a smoother development cycle. 
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders regarding quality initiatives, project status, and any issues that may impact delivery timelines or product quality, ensuring transparency and alignment.
