Manager - Digital Product Management

As part of the Global Merchant & Network Services group (GMNS) the GMNS Product team is at the core of American Express, uniquely positioned to service every business unit and customer across the Enterprise. Each year, we power billions of transactions through our global payments network, serving our Issuing and Acquiring businesses in more than 170 markets worldwide. We are driving a strategic, multi-year transformation to modernize our Acquirer solutions to build innovative products, services, and capabilities that will anticipate our merchant and acquiring partner’s needs. This is a strategic priority for GMNS as it becomes increasingly important that we stay competitive with the rise of intermediaries, can quickly adapt to an ever-changing regulatory environment and are developing strong value-added services that deepen the relationships with our acquiring customers.

Reporting to the Director of Acquirer Platform Transformation, this role will be responsible for driving the day-to-day execution of the Acquiring modernization strategy and product roadmap. You will play a critical role in translating strategy into action—ensuring we are delivering high-impact product capabilities while continuously incorporating customer insights, market intelligence, and competitive dynamics into our approach.

As a key member of this team, your responsibilities will include:

• Own roadmap execution: Drive the end-to-end execution of the Acquiring product roadmap, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of prioritized features and capabilities. 

  
  

• Translate strategy into action: Operationalize the broader Acquirer modernization strategy into clear product priorities, requirements, and deliverables. 

  
  

• Champion the voice of the customer: Incorporate feedback from merchants, partners, and internal stakeholders to shape product decisions, improve user journeys, and eliminate friction.
