Position Summary


The Solutions organization at Aven Hospitality is responsible for positioning and crafting a value proposition to achieve high-level business outcomes for our customers. They are consultative in their approach and product/technical experts, partnering with Sales and Account Management teams, Delivery and Product to ensure the best possible solution is presented to customers and prospects. They orchestrate their efforts to find an optimal product implementation which ensures maximum alignment between Aven Hospitality capabilities and customer requirements.


The Team Lead, Solutions Architect is a functional and technical expert of Aven Hospitality Solutions, hospitality ecosystem integrations, APIs and system architecture who will drive successful outcomes in pre-sales and renewal opportunities for complex and enterprise customers by leading the solutions design process partnering with internal cross-functional global teams. The Team Lead will develop close partnerships with Sales and Account Management, Product, Engineering and Implementation teams to ensure delivery of viable solutions aligning to identified customer goals and objectives. As Lead technical architect for customer engagements, you will foster strong customer relationships building strong, viable value propositions addressing customer end-to-end business requirements.


As a Team Lead Solution Architect, the individual acts as a coach and mentor to junior members of the Solutions team, as well as being an advocate for our Aven Hospitality products and services in the industry through attendance at industry events and thought leadership. The Team Lead will be a primary technical expert leading design and scoping of technical solutions for new and existing customers for complex ecosystem, custom API and integration solutions, or non-functional requirements.


Key Responsibilities


  • Take the lead role in technical design solutions for complex and enterprise sales opportunities and RFPs
  • Understand and interpret customer business needs and drivers
  • Map the capabilities of our products and Platform to create a solution that meets or exceeds customer needs
  • Determine how best to provide customer objectives through product configuration or identifying where product enhancements may be needed to address gaps
  • Engage from requirement gathering phase to implementation with continuous involvement, as required
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects on efforts across development, infrastructure, and security
  • Key leader in ensuring Solutions operational excellence
  • Support the ongoing growth of technical expertise and mentoring of Solutions Architects and Solution Engineers, and adjacent Sales Consulting and Delivery teams

Key Knowledge and Skill Requirements


  • Strong understanding of hospitality technology ecosystems, including CRS, PMS, RMS, channel management, integrations and data platforms
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to design, articulate, and present secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise solutions
  • Proven ability to translate complex business challenges into differentiated value propositions
  • Expertise in pre-sales and post-sales technical engagement models, including discovery, solution architecture, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to translate technical details into relatable business outcomes for C-suite level executives
  • Experience leading global technical teams preferred
  • Superior project management skills
