The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting business analysis activities within the PLM ecosystem (Windchill, ThingWorx, and related enterprise systems).
This role involves understanding business requirements, documenting functional specifications, and supporting solution delivery, working closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and QA teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.

Work with business stakeholders and functional teams to understand business processes and requirements.
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
Assist in translating business needs into clear and structured requirements.
Support clarification of requirements during development and testing phases.
Prepare and maintain documentation such as: Functional specifications User stories Process flows and use cases
Ensure requirements are clearly documented and aligned with business objectives.
Support creation of acceptance criteria for user stories.
Support analysis of business processes related to PLM systems (Windchill, ThingWorx).
Assist in understanding dependencies across systems and workstreams.
Work with teams to ensure solutions align with business workflows and processes.
Collaborate with Business Leads, Developers, and QA teams.
Participate in requirement discussions, workshops, and walkthroughs.
Communicate requirements, changes, and clarifications effectively.
Participate in Agile (Scrum) activities including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and reviews.
Support Product Owners in backlog management and prioritization.
Ensure user stories are well-defined and ready for development.
Assist in defining test scenarios and validating business requirements.
Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) activities.
Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations.
Help identify dependencies across workstreams and systems.
Track issues, clarifications, and requirement gaps.
Support resolution of functional issues during delivery.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or related field
3–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects
Experience in: Requirement gathering and documentation Writing user stories and functional specifications
Exposure to: PLM systems (Windchill, ThingWorx or similar) Enterprise applications or system integrations
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Strong communication and analytical skills
Experience in PLM-related projects or product lifecycle processes
Exposure to systems like CAD, ERP, or MES
Knowledge of process modeling tools (Visio, BPMN, etc.)
Experience working in global or distributed teams

Engages with business leaders to understand how strategies and data-driven changes can improve efficiencies and add value.
Work with data sets to define use cases to improve products, processes and/or services.
Collaborates with Business Relationship Manager (BRM), business stakeholders and IT Product Owners / Managers to develop business requirements for product or system changes.
Drives business agenda during solution delivery process.
Functional Skills: Ability to analyze data and trends in order to develop recommendations to solve business problems.

Technology: Understanding of systems, software and technological concepts, Familiarity with data analysis tools and data modeling methodologies.

Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Requires 2+ years of experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent or Advanced Degree with 0 years of experience.
