Intermediate Android Engineer

What You'll Do:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Android shopping applications using Kotlin
• Own features end-to-end, from technical design through development, testing, and release
• Deliver quality, scalable, and maintainable code aligned with WSI mobile standards
• Partner with Product, UX, QA, and backend teams to implement business requirements
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural and technical improvements
• Identify and resolve defects, performance issues, and production incidents
• Support ongoing optimisation of app stability, performance, and customer experience.

• 5–8 years of experience in Android development. Strong hands-on experience with Android development using Kotlin
• Solid knowledge of Android SDK, app lifecycle, and UI frameworks
• Experience delivering enhancements in large-scale consumer or retail applications
• Familiarity with MVVM / Clean Architecture principles
• Experience integrating with RESTful services
• Experience with Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation)
• Exposure to Jetpack Compose
• Experience with analytics, logging, and feature flag frameworks
• Strong understanding of coding best practices, performance, and memory management
• Proficiency with Git and standard CI/CD workflows
• Ability to work independently and take ownership with minimal oversight

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field.
