We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President, Institutional Credit Management (ICM) Product Developer - Artificial Intelligence (AI) - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Product Developer - C12) based in Mumbai, India. The Junior Product Manager will join the mission to transform how Citi manages Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR), utilizing Emerging Technologies, among others Generative and traditional AI.

Institutional Credit Management (ICM) was formed to transform the way Citi manages the extension of wholesale credit to institutional clients. ICM is a global group focused on re-imaging credit control process, policies, and technology to manage the wholesale lending process end to end. Within ICM we are responsible for building a comprehensive platform that will create a user centric experience that meets the needs across differing business lines, regions, and regulatory demands.

With the new Emerging technologies available in current market key responsibility of ICM Product Manager is to manage current use cases and capabilities which utilizes these new technologies within current platforms and processes.

This role will work in collaboration with cross-functional and cross-business stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of the initiative. To be successful in this role, the candidate will have previously worked in an agile focused development organization, with experience driving technology change in an iterative manner. The candidate will be a seasoned user experience design professional who can partner with technology to transform WCR activities in scope for ICM.

In this role, you’re expected to perform:

Credit Risk Activities in Scope for Transformation:

• Originations & Amendments – Transformation of the deal management lifecycle from prospecting through underwriting, credit administration, and booking operations.
• Periodic Assessment and Client Monitoring – Transformation of the credit review processes including Annual Reviews and Problem credit management
• Portfolio Limit Setting and Management – Transformation of how Citi Manages Limits across Lending and Counter Party Credit products, including implementation of a comprehensive monitoring structure.
• Client Management and Servicing – Transformation of how our clients interact with Citi to execute on their business operation needs, including statements, draws, etc.
• Core Services – Transformation of the underlying foundation, data, and functional services that support the above business activities (e.g. Financial Spreading, Collateral Management, Covenant Monitoring, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Implementation of AI/GenAI/AgenticAI/ML capabilities within credit risk activities in scope for transformation
• Hands-on building of AI/GenAI/AgenticAI PoCs for the identified, prioritized use cases, including high-level architecture design, writing and implementing the code to demonstrate the E2E working solution.
• Partner with engineering, data science, data & design teams to evaluate the feasibility, scalability, and technical trade-offs of the proposed AI/ML solutions.
• Continuously refine the product roadmap to incorporate advancements in Machine Learning algorithms, GenAI model architectures and regulatory guidelines for using AI.
• Oversee the entire AI product lifecycle from ideation through launch, monitoring and iterative enhancements
• Lead product experiments (Ex A/B testing, pilot programs) to validate AI/ML solutions in real-world setting before scaling.
• Utilize modern Emerging technologies - AI/GenAI for simplification, automation, quality control leading to improvement in Efficiency of internal processes and systems.
• Launch and manage new Products, Projects and Initiatives utilizing Emerging technologies – AI/GenAI and ensure both technical and governance deliveries of these efforts.
• Lead a set of products working groups to maintain outcome-based roadmaps and sequencing, review progress towards OKRs, and track risk dependencies and issues.
• Drive digital transformation by re-engineering operational business processes, focusing on optimizing target state processes and end to end workflow orchestration with technology empowerment.
• Follows market, industry, and client trends to own field and adapts them for application Citi’s products and solutions platforms.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• Masters/bachelor’s degree in business / equivalent or technology related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, AI/ML Engineer with a passion to build high impact products.
• Expert experience and knowledge about Generative AI, AgenticAI and Traditional AI, Key features, strong and weak points of these technologies and Experience with their implementation in existing processes.
• Ability to independently lead projects through strategy, design and implementation phases and being accountable for the direct financial impact of the initiatives
• Ability to present various Projects and Product to senior leadership in understandable and capturing way
• Basic-intermediate level of knowledge in Python is advantage
• Familiarity in a front office, middle office, or operational capacity supporting the credit lifecycle execution or related transformation efforts in wholesale lending
• Demonstrated ability to translate end user needs into tangible work products that technology engineers can move forward to develop (e.g. Process Flows, Requirements, Design Artifacts, Screen Mockups, etc.)
• Track record of working across multiple stakeholders and collaborating with various technology partners
