An Ideal Candidate:

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has built and operated large-scale data systems in production and understands the realities of running always-on, low-latency pipelines.

Key Competencies:

What You’ll Do

 Own the end-to-end data platform architecture, including ingestion, stream processing, analytics, and storage tiering.

 Design and evolve high-throughput ingestion pipelines and reliable data collectors for continuous telemetry.

 Build and operate stream-processing workflows for enrichment, correlation, aggregation, and feature extraction using event-time semantics.

 Define and govern data schemas and evolution strategy, ensuring backward compatibility and long-term interoperability.

 Design and operate high-performance analytical data models, balancing query latency, cost, and retention.

 Implement dead-letter queues, replay mechanisms, and backfill tooling to support detection logic and model iteration.

 Partner with SRE to define and meet platform SLOs, including ingest-to-alert latency, query performance, availability, and cost efficiency.

 Establish operational best practices around observability, failure isolation, scaling, and capacity planning.

 Mentor and lead a senior team of data and streaming engineers, setting standards for reliability and maintainability.
