What will you contribute?



Scrum Master is a challenging position focused on team functionality, will work with a broad set of team members focused on new product deployment into Cloud infrastructure and existing product support architecture and automation. Scrum Master is responsible for monitoring the scrum process and scrum meetings. The individual will increase the teams efficiency, motivates, argue for change that will ensure quality and timeliness ;Also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Guiding the team and organization on how to use Scrum practices and values to align with Finastra’s mission; Guiding the team on how to get the most out of Scrum process. ; Identify roadblocks and guide the team to remove the impediments by challenging the status quo or right person to remove the impediment ;  Help cultivate a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on self-resolution and problem solving ;   Facilitating discussion, decision making and conflict resolution. ;               Assisting with internal and external communication with stakeholders, improving transparency, and federating information. ;               Supporting training and education of client delivery managers’ teams, product owners, and consumers of automation team solutions. ; Monitor and improve architecture and cloud automation service desk queues (EPIC.) ; Document policies and best practices ; Create and maintain technical documentation for deployment and support procedures ;  A high degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT-related concepts effectively with executive-level management




KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:



Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least on year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory ;  Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency ; Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the internal gaps left in the Scrum approach ; Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people, such as engineers and non-technical coworkers ; Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Paring, Automated Testing, Agile games. ; Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc. ; Knowledge of general security practices ; Self-starter with the ability to balance many tasks with changing priorities. Proven ability to handle a wide variety of tasks and successfully prioritize work ; Strong decision-making skills. Able to analyze different options and make a clear recommendation ; Excellent communication and mentoring skills ; Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision ;  Ability to quickly adapt to changing technologies and learn new skills ; IT/Server Administration background to interface with other IT professionals when discussing technical needs. Be able to translate those needs into monitoring solutions.

  • Lead Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement.

  • Improve delivery predictability through metrics such as velocity and sprint health.

Service Delivery & ITIL Governance



  • ApplyITILalignedprocesses to support predictable and reliable project delivery.




  • Oversee and coordinatetechno-functionaland SLAaspects of




  • Incident Management – ensure teams respond to critical issues promptly and communicate effectively.




  • Change Management – support evaluation, approval, and scheduling of software-related changes.




  • Problem Management –contribute toRCAs,closure ofP-Tasks, anddrivelongtermfixes.




  • Collaborate with support, operations, and engineering tomaintainservice stability.




Communication& Stakeholder Coordination



  • Facilitate structureddecisionmakingmeetings, workshops,also coordinatecrossteamalignment and ensure expectations arewellmanaged.




  • Prepare and deliver documentation:programreports, meeting notes, dashboards, and status updates.




  • Present projectstatusupdates, risks, timelines, and progress using standard reporting practices.




  • Act as the single point of coordination betweenarchitects,engineering,product owners,QAand leadership teams.




  • Develop and delivercommunication plansfor internal and external stakeholders.




Cost, Scope & Quality Control



  • Ability to estimate project budgets and track ongoing cost impact.




  • Ensure quality standards are met whileoptimizingcost and resource usage.




  • Monitor project risks, changes, and scope creep; proactively implement mitigation actions.




  • Maintain strong control over timelines and ensureontimedelivery.




Process, Standards & Continuous Improvement



  • Develop and implement project standards, delivery processes, and governance frameworks.




  • Identifybottlenecks and introduce improvements across workflows, documentation, and communication.




  • Drive consistency in templates, metrics, reporting, and best practices.




  • Enable teams to improve velocity, predictability, and collaboration effectiveness.




Client Value & Relationship Management



  • Proactivelyidentifyopportunities to add value through better processes, tools, automation, or insights.




  • Maintain stronginternal and externalclientfacingcommunicationasrequired.




  • Understand stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment through structured updates.





EXPERIENCE & Skills Required : 5+Yrs



  • 5–8 years of experience in software project management or Scrum Master roles.




  • 3+ yearshands onexperience running Scrum ceremonies for software development teams.




  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, or Oracle Cloud) in an enterprise environment, including 1 year as a Scrum Master.




  • Exposure toAPI–based automation and CI/CD pipelines-GitHub, GitHub Actions, and/or Azure DevOps pipelines in Agile delivery environments




  • Strong experience in project coordination, planning, execution, andcross functionalcollaboration.




  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and within approved scope.




  • Ability to manage multiple parallel software development projects in afast pacedenvironment.




  • Experience handling large, complex, and integrated technical initiatives.




  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.




  • Strong meeting facilitation, stakeholder management, andconflictre solutionabilities.




  • Experience with project estimation,budgetingawareness, and scope/quality control.




  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to motivate, guide, and influencehigh performingteams.




  • Experience improving standards, processes, documentation, and team workflows.



Preferred Skills



  • Exposure to Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure Boards, MS Project, SharePoint.




  • Knowledge ofindustrystandardProject & Portfolio Management (PPM) tools and reporting practices.




  • Experience writing communication plans or stakeholder engagement frameworks.




  • Familiarity with project governance, portfolio dashboards, status reporting, and risk tracking.




  • Certifications:ASM/CSM/PSM, PMP, PRINCE2,SAFe(nice to have but not mandatory).




  • Understanding ofSDLC, software lifecycle, QA processes, and release workflows.
