Position Overview :

The Boeing Company is currently looking for an Experienced Digital Engineer - PLM position seeking to design, develop and test new computing systems and applications across PLM to facilitate integration of new technologies and the transition from legacy systems to support business requirements. This position reports directly to Systems Engineering Manager (Digital Engineering) at Bangalore, India.

This position requires you to be highly skilled Model Based Design Specialist with a strong background in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, specifically Dassault Systems' 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) platform with hands on experience in AI/ML technology .

The ideal candidate will need to have extensive experience in enhancing PLM solution with modern AI/ML capabilities to drive automation, data insight and intelligent workflows. This role involves planning, executing, and managing the PLM systems ensuring data integrity, system performance, and user satisfaction while leveraging scripting and automation for efficiency.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Manager to deliver Engineering statements of work to meet the organizational goals.

Position Responsibilities:

• Design and develop CAD applications development and testing for CATIA V5/V6 and 3DExperience
• Use of CATIA V5/V6 and 3DExperience for 3D Part modeling and Assembly using parametric relations.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Good Knowledge on Various Catia Work benches Surface Design, Piping and Tubing Design, Composite Design, Sheet Metal, Relational Modelling, Functional Tolerance and Annotation etc.
• Good Knowledge of different design modelling approaches followed across aerospace industries
• Designing tube assemblies for Hydraulic / Oxygen / Fuel/ Fire / Wastewater etc.,
• Design of ECS/HVAC Ducting
• Analyze, design, test and debug existing and new programs to support the customization of the Enterprise level 3DX PLM.
• Work as a Functional Lead for the local team of PLM Engineers for the designated Capability and provide daily direction of tasks and assignments.
• Provide Weekly / Monthly team activity report to the Project Lead / Engineering Manager.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• The position requires 8+ years of Overall Engineering experience preferably in Aerospace / Automotive / Locomotive Industry.
• Minimum 5+ years of PLM experience with the exposure to Systems tools (CATIA V5/V6 and 3DExperience)
• Must have experience in Integration and collaboration with IT and other stakeholders to define migration requirements and timelines
• Must have Experience in ADO (Azure Dev Ops) Or JIRA
• Must be able to troubleshoot and optimize existing scripts and automation workflows.
• Must have experience working with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations.
• Candidate must have strong attention to detail.
• Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Having experience in training end-users/peers on 3DX, new cloud functionalities, and automation tools is an added advantage.
• Preferable to have experience in Implementation of automation solutions to streamline PLM processes and improve efficiency.
• Good to have Experience in developing and maintaining scripts using for automating tasks within the PDM/PLM environment as an added advantage.
• Good to have Experience with Dashboard widget creation/customization.
• Effectively resolves problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through on details while driving innovation as well as issue resolution
• Mentors junior team members on technical aspects. The selected individual will also be responsible to provide support to development of internal competency and resources for critical skill sets.
• INCOSE certification on Systems Engineering is an added advantage.

Typical Education & Experience:

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (Bachelor of Engineering) with 8+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters in Engineering + 6 years' related work experience)
