Objective of the Role

To manage day-to-day paint shop operations including shot blasting and painting processes, manpower management, and process optimization to achieve production targets while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Job Responsibility

 Production & Delivery Performance
Ensure achievement of paint shop daily and monthly production targets and timely availability of painted parts to support assembly schedules.

Process Quality & Compliance
Maintain required coating quality standards (DFT, surface finish, adhesion, curing parameters) while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental norms.

Productivity & Process Improvement
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in shot blasting and painting processes to enhance productivity, reduce rework, and optimize cycle time. Manpower Management & Skill Development
Manage shift planning, manpower utilization and multiskilling of team members through training to ensure operational efficiency and flexibility.

Equipment Utilization & Capacity Enhancement
Ensure optimal utilization, maintenance coordination, and process validation of painting and shot-blasting equipment to support production.

Competencies

• Technical Knowledge - Expertise in industrial painting processes, shot blasting, coating quality control, paint shop equipment operation, and process parameter optimization.
• Skills - Team management, communication, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities to effectively manage paint shop operations
• Abilities – Analyze paint shop processes, troubleshoot coating defects, manage manpower effectively
• Relevant Work Experience - Hands-on experience in industrial paint shop operations including shot blasting, liquid painting processes, paint shop equipment handling, and coating quality control.

Education Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Chemical / Paint Technology
