Role Description
- We are seeking a Vice President to act as Product Owner for document digitisation and unstructured-to-structured data solutions across Operations.
- This role sits within the Operations Transformation function and is responsible for shaping and delivering products that convert unstructured content (e.g. emails, PDFs, trade documents, client communications) into structured, actionable data embedded within core operational workflows.
- You will partner closely with Operations stakeholders to define problem statements and with Technology teams to design, build, and deploy scalable solutions that drive efficiency, control, and client experience improvements.
- This is a high-impact role at the centre of transforming Operations through AI, automation, and data. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in redefining how unstructured information is leveraged to drive intelligent, automated workflows across the bank.

Your key responsibilities
Product Ownership & Strategy
- Own the end-to-end product vision, roadmap, and backlog for document digitisation and data extraction solutions
- Define product strategy aligned to Operations priorities (efficiency, risk reduction, scalability, client outcomes)
- Translate business problems into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Prioritise features based on value, feasibility, and measurable business outcomes
Operations Engagement & Problem Definition
- Partner with global Operations teams to identify high-value use cases involving unstructured data
- Diagnose pain points across document-heavy workflows (e.g. onboarding, trade lifecycle, reconciliations, client servicing)
- Lead structured discovery to define requirements and success criteria
- Act as a single point of accountability between Operations and transformation/product teams
Technology Partnership & Delivery
- Work closely with Technology, AI/ML, and platform teams to design scalable digitisation solutions, with strong understanding of human-in-the-loop implementation
- Ensure solutions are integrated into target workflows (case management, workflow tools, downstream systems)
- Drive agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint planning, and iterative releases
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and data strategy
Embedding into Operational Workflows
- Ensure solutions are not standalone tools but embedded within end-to-end operational processes
- Partner with workflow and case management teams to integrate outputs into decision-making flows
- Define and monitor SLAs, controls, and exception handling processes
Adoption, Scaling & Value Realisation
- Drive adoption across business lines through strong change management and stakeholder engagement
- Monitor usage, performance, and business impact using data and telemetry
- Identify enhancement opportunities and continuously improve product performance
- Deliver measurable outcomes (e.g. STP improvements, turnaround time reduction, cost savings, risk reduction)
Your skills and experience
Domain & Functional Expertise
- Strong experience in Investment Banking / CIB Operations (e.g. Trade Processing, Payments, Securities, Client Onboarding)
- Deep understanding of document-heavy workflows and associated risks and inefficiencies
- Experience with digitisation, OCR, NLP, or AI-based document processing solutions
Product & Delivery Expertise
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a complex, enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of agile delivery models and product lifecycle management
- Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and prioritised backlogs
Technology & Data Understanding
- Working knowledge of AI/ML, document digitisation, and data extraction technologies
- Understanding of workflow tools, case management platforms, and system integration
- Ability to engage credibly with engineering and architecture teams
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Strong stakeholder management across Operations, Technology, and senior leadership
- Ability to influence without authority in a matrixed organisation
- Experience driving global change across distributed teams
