Director Clinical Database Design & Acquisition

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a Therapeutic Area portfolio, overseeing database design and non-CRF data acquisition activities to enable high-quality, efficient, and scalable clinical trial delivery.

• Provide hands-on leadership across a Therapeutic Area portfolio, directly overseeing Database Design Leads and Data Acquisition Leads to ensure consistency, quality, and high performance.

  
  

• Establish and drive TA-specific best practices for database design, edit check strategy, and supplier integration approaches across all studies.

  
  

• Serve as the escalation point for complex build, integration, or supplier issues, ensuring timely resolution without jeopardizing study timelines.

  
  

• Partner with Study Data Delivery Leads and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure databases consistently meet study startup, go-live, and database lock milestones.

  
  

• Monitor portfolio-level metrics including go-live timelines, split go-lives, and mid-study changes, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize delivery performance.

  
  

• Mentor and coach team members while contributing to enterprise discussions on platform strategy, protocol translation, and data acquisition innovation.

  
  

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The candidate we seek is an individual with the following qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree and 10 years of clinical execution experience OR

  
  

• Master’s degree and 15 years of clinical execution experience OR

  
  

• Bachelor’s degree and 18 years of clinical execution experience

  
  

• In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have at least 4 years’ experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above
