Design Coordinator

The Design Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the design process across infrastructure projects. This includes liaising with consultants, ensuring design compliance, facilitating technical reviews, and supporting the delivery of high-quality, buildable solutions aligned with project goals.

Design Management

• Coordinate the full design lifecycle from concept to construction documentation 
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure design intent is maintained.
• Manage resource planning with service leads and ensure timely delivery of design packages.

Technical Oversight

• Conduct technical reviews to ensure buildability, compliance, and value engineering
• Apply and reinforce design standards and ensure quality control procedures are followed.
• Support BIM strategy implementation and manage design documentation within Revit, Civil3D, AutoCAD environments.

Project Coordination

• Produce and manage RFI schedules and responses.
• Assist in developing technical delivery processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Monitor design progress and coordinate with the construction and commercial teams.

Quality & Compliance

• Perform site checks to ensure design compliance and quality of execution.
• Produce Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and enforce QEMS (Quality, Environmental, Management System) standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 5 to 7 years of experience in infrastructure design management, preferably with consultancy and contractor exposure 
• The candidate should be a Professionally qualified Engineer or should have started the journey towards the same.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in Autodesk tools (Revit, Civil3D, ACC, AutoCAD), BIM workflows, and Microsoft Office 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time and project management abilities.
• Analytical problem-solving and attention to detail.

BGV:

• Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
