DBT Developer

Project description We are looking for a skilled DBT Developer to support modern data transformation and analytics initiatives on cloud platforms. The role focuses on building scalable, maintainable, and high-performance data models using DBT, leveraging cloud-native services on Azure. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver robust data pipelines and ensure high data quality. Responsibilities Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines using DBT Design modular, reusable data models using Jinja templating Work with PostgreSQL for data storage, transformation, and optimization Deploy and manage workloads on Azure, including AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) Schedule and monitor jobs using Control-M Develop automation scripts using Shell and Python Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage code repositories using Git Work in Linux environments for development and deployment Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions Ensure data quality, performance tuning, and adherence to best practices Support database versioning and artifact management using Flyway/Artifactory Skills Must have 5+ years of strong DBT Development Strong hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) Proficiency in Jinja templating for dynamic SQL generation Experience with Azure cloud platform and AKS Strong experience with PostgreSQL Experience with Control-M for job scheduling Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting Hands-on experience with Git for version control Strong experience working in Linux environments Good understanding of data warehousing, ELT concepts, and data modelling Nice to have Exposure to Flyway for database version control Experience with Artifactory for artifact management Knowledge of containerization and orchestration concepts Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Other Languages English: B2 Upper Intermediate Seniority Senior
